01.06.11 - I've been wanting to do something with bubbles for ages now as I wanted to practice doing them. When I came across this wonderful stock [link] and got really inspired to digital paint it and evolve it into bubble blowing.

I really love the bright and happy feel of this picture. The bubbles look excellent and I can see that you put a lot of effort into them to make them look realistic. I also like the way you did her lips. They look so full and pretty. The bright colors really make this image pop and come to life, however, I feel that the red color in the sunglasses clash with the pinks, greens, and light blues. That’s just my opinion though. The shine on the sunglasses looks great by the way. I really like how you did her hair, though a little more definition will go a long way. This is true for the whole image. A lot of the outlines look choppy and cut off, especially on the hair, and plastic bubble stick. (I don’t know what those are called. ) To just take a darker color and outline this more evenly I think will improve the image drastically. Also, the fingernails make the hands look a little awkward. Make sure that you take extra care when adding fingernails that all the angles and lines are even. Otherwise it can mess up the whole hand. As a whole though, I like the carefree and happy vibe this picture has. Great work and keep it up.
First of all, I have to say that I love your use of colour here. Her hair and lips really pop in contrast to the green background and the colours in the bubbles are really well done.
I think that the picture could benefit from a little more contrast and definition in certain areas such as around the edges of the nails and in the hair. In the hair in particular a little more use of dark lines would make an already strong element of the picture even better.
Also, while most of your elements are really nicely shaded there are one or two areas that seem quite flat in comparison. I think that the nails and the bubble stick need a little bit of shading and/or highlights to really help them gel with the rest of the image.
Thank you. psst if you steal the facebook version yes it's smaller but it's not got a water mark over it! If you're just using it as screensaver then that's no problem
Thank you for letting me know hun and for the comment xx
I love the colors you used! The bubbles are also quite nice, especially the largest one. The only other thing I have to say is that maybe you should add a bit more contrasting shadows. Overall, it's a very nice piece. :D
