You've done a really nice job with this painting. Very interesting perspective and pose. Proportionally, everything looks great and bravo on the curvature of the hand--that position is hard to make look natural.

You've done well with the coloring, just don't be afraid of reaching for both the darks and lights of the spectrum when it comes to shading. Darkening up the shadows in some areas can give creases and folds depth, while bright highlights will make parts pop. For example, areas like between the fingers, the nostrils, and the crease below the wrist could do with a more drastic shadow. Also, be wary of smoothing all of your lines over too much. Some shapes need hard and sharp lines in order to create a realistic definition. The wing could use further definition to make the area a little less ambiguous.

Overall, nicely done and keep up the good work :)

I love the style on the piece and the subject matter. The colors once again are great. Also, something that a lot of artists have trouble with is hands and you seem to have them down. My only critique would primarily involve contrast, shadows and highlights, and how soft the image is. It's ok to have some hard areas. I absolutely love the eye lashes. Wonderful job on them. Maybe more highlights in the hair and on the nails. Stuff like that. Also, maybe add a few wrinkles to the wrist where the hand is bending. Something I love to do when I have sparkles is have a few small hard white marks because I observed glitter closely and saw little white squares.

I love this! It looks amazing.. even if you *do* have the same problem as I do - blending too much. Don't be afraid to have sharper lines. I'm forcing myself to do it.. and it looks a lot better in the long run. Congratulations on being able to do this on a freakin' laptop, though! Wow! I'm stunned. >_<

I just find them really akward to use. At best it slows the process down. :3
I can't find anything wrong with this piece other than the overblurring. Everything else, including the proportions, is spot on. Keep going with your art. You have a lot of room for improvement; don't stop now! :)

I really like the colors. That's what drew me in to this painting. The perspective is very nice, and her eyeshadow...I wish I could blend eye shadow that well!
I also like the softness of this piece, and really accentuates the femeninity of the woman. It's a really great painting. :)

Do you really using laptop touch pad when drawing and coloring this?
Oh my...I'm pretty sure it was a hard work :XD:

I love the colours in this. Her eyes are especially gorgeous :wow:

Just some stronger shading, with more dark tones, would make this even better :aww:

Hmm OK I have come to have another look at this and see if I can offer any ideas. I really love this picture I love how soft it all looks. I think maybe it'd be nice if the hair was the layer over the face as you can tell with how you blended the skin town that the skin is the higher layer. I also think it'd be nice with a couple of whisps of out of place hair going onto her face just to break up the outline a little bit. Maybe define the shadow a little more between the fingers as I feel it should be a couple of tones darker than the other shadowed areas. I'd love to see some shine on those nails to match in with the luscious looking lips and lashes.
Maybe have a go at adding some more detail to the hands?
I really cant say much though as I am in no way an expert or even good at digital art myself. As I said I do really love this picture and I hope this helps at least a little

I did originally have the hair over the face and then when I merged layers together I edited it a little as it didn't look right, I was trying to add shadow to the head where the hair hung over (fail).

I do think perhaps this image is too soft...

I am not so sure about whisp hair, but I can see what you're saying and usually I do try and do that.

I agree about more shadow like between the fingers and perhaps under the wrist etc... I don't like going too dark as it just looks starange on my art work, to me.

More shine on nails, that's easy... it's like doing the shine on the lips etc...

It helped lots. I am trying to imrpove... Today I have been working on n off on another piece (8 hours work) and I am happy although I feel like it's not as good as my "Angel Tattoo" in some respects, but better in others!

I think hair is a very hard thing to get rite. I have a lot of trouble with it and it is always the part of the picture that I dread most. Because I think hair can easily make or break a picture. I think you have done really well with it in this picture.

I think as the entire picture is soft it works really well. Your style seems to be very soft in general.

With shadow I say just jump in there. Maybe try it out on a separate layer so if you don't like it you can easily try again. Don't be afraid to be drastic, as you may find that is one of the things holding you back. I experiment with style quite often and even if I don't like the outcome. I usually get something constructive out of it.

Glad I helped and you are very welcome. I'm usually scared to critique on peoples art.
I look forward to seeing your art evolve over time

I don't mind the hair because I know I am going to suck at it. I don't have the ability to do hair as well as I wish to do... Although having said that in the 'Angel Tattoo', 'Secrets' and 'Artistic's Panther' (my last 3 pieces) they seem to have improved quite dramatically... and not just hair wise either! I feel like I've learnt a lot but there's more to learn and improve and do :D *excited* ...just think I have all this to learn again when I finally get a tablet lol!

99% of people it seems, don't like soft! So I am going to try and work on more harsh lines and such (probably fail) but still it's something to work on next week!

I think I have a bit of a fear about going so dark on shading or too light on lighting and not being able to contrast or blend very well worries me. Although I feel in my lastist piece 'Artistic's Panther' I have done rather well with the shading and the lighting in black and white (done in black and white to practice shading and lighting!) ...probably should try the same technique on human form... I have another couple (2) art trades to do this weekend (although it'll probably get extended to this week!) :D

Anyways I am working on imrpovements, thank you again hun you did a wonderful job with the critique! I just say what I think and back it up with sayings such as "in my opinion", "I think", "perhaps", "you could try", "if you wanted" etc... because I don't want to seem like I am saying "OMG I LOVE YOUR WORK, ACTUALLY NO I AM JUST SAYING THAT BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO TELL YOU IT'S FUCKING SHIT AND HAVE YOU NOT TALK TO ME. LOL!" - Yeh I worry too much.

Ohok. And I have 7 tattoos. But only one of them was "painful". Of course it hurts your having your skin ripped open... but it's not as bad as people make out! It depends on the place too...

Oh ok. Cool. Wow none of them hurt. Wow. Well except 1. I would probably get 2. Here's 1 thing I don't think ppl should do: DO NOT get your sprouse's name on you. Unless, of course, you're still together, like you and Josh.

They didn't hurt in the sense that I wasn't screaming, crying, complaining, stopping the artist or generally making out like someone was chopping me in half with a rusty spoon. But it did hurt in that it's cutting you open... So like when you cut your finger on a knife or fall and cut your knee or have piercings... Different parts of the body react differently due to sensitivity and different people react in different ways too.

Pretty nice. I especially like the eyes. Perhaps a bit more of detail to the eyebrows would be good. Their simlpeness contrasts with the rest of the picture.

I was going for kinda a cyber goth 'drawn on' eye brows feel to this. Mostly because they're about an inch highter than they're meant to be. I quite like what I have done... Yes in realistic eyebrows I usually do more detail. Thank you for the comment though xx
